Review Tour: Bad by LP Lovell and Stevie J. Cole

BLURB

True power is never held by good men, only the most
perfect of villains.
 And
she and I are both villains…

I stole her, and she’s so very angry. The cartel princess doesn’t like being a
pretty little pawn. She fights me when she should fear me. But oh, how her
defiance excites me.

She would kill me if she could, and I’d ruin her if I had an ounce less
control. What a twisted game we play with sweet threats and cruel promises. I
crave her madness in the most depraved ways because I know she’ll be so
beautiful when she bleeds.

A queen who could set the world on fire and a king who would call it rain. Two
very bad people who want very bad things are never safe together.

Some love stories have no heroes.

Review by Angie Best for TBBB

When you open a book to read you have a preconceived idea of what the book will be about. Mafia…cartel…..I know the whole dynamics of those type genre’s. Innocent me thought I had the gist of the story all figured out, but goodnight Irene..was I totally wrong. Holy shiz batman, Bad by LP Lovell and Stevie J. Cole blew my flippin’ mind. Go ahead and toss all those preconceived ideas right out the window because when you think things will go one way, heck NO….these authors take you on a completely different venture.

“I learned early in life that honor and dignity do nothing but limit your power.”

Ronan Cole walks into a room an 18 year old, but he walks out the leader of the Russian Bratva. How he comes into that role was quite the eye opener as to the character of this man. (to say how he obtained that role floored me, is an understatement) Twelve years have passed and he remains in power and one he is determined to hold onto and continue to grow. He doesn’t care how, who or what must be done to ensure his authority remains and isn’t under-minded. He arranges and directs people as if they were pieces on a chess board. No one dares to question him or his authority….well that is no one but her!!

“For a man in control must be the most perfect of villains, and heartless power is the only

absolute authority there is.”

Camilia Estrada is not a woman to be taken lightly. She has lived thru horrors beginning at age 14 that no one should ever have to endure. Camilia learns early on to never show weakness, that only feeds upon those trying to break you. She has become a master at the game played in the cartel world…..she herself being one of the powerful players. Camilia has her own plan to ensure her families continued power, notoriety and wealth. Little does she know she will come face to face with a man whose twisted mind matches hers. A man whose tastes for the darkest of sides is a mirror image to her own!!!!

“Pretty sure there’s a special place in hell for people who attend a funeral to watch the sobbing family for the guy they had shot in the face….I’m still upset about that dress by the way.”

Ronan is determined to break Camilia’s will. He will not stop until he knows what her weakness is. The means he goes to break her had my mind reeling. Camilia is determined to never be broken again. She will play his game to a point, then she will make him a chess piece on the board she moves. No one will determine her fate but her!!! I literally stopped reading at one point, mouth agape……at where these authors were talking me. To say this is a dark read is an understatement. These two characters are so dark, toxic and yes a bit twisted, yet I HAD to know what next. The pull these characters had was just mesmerizing and yet still at times, I found myself stunned at the ride I was on. I have never been introduced to two characters that thrive on pain….thrive on death….thrive on mind games….thrive on inciting fear. This book had my mind reeling at the lengths Ronan and Camilia would push one another in their power game. And them came the cliff hanger….holy crap! The authors leave us completely on the edge of life and death….the ultimate roulette game ensuing!!!!

If you are a fan of over the top dark and twisted reads then you will definitely want to dive into this book. I still sit in a book fog and ponder what I’ve read but now wait to see where the next book takes me!
