Isabel is a Venezuelan author who writes steamy, warm, funny paranormal romance. Ghosts, shifters, mythological creatures? That’s her jam!
When she was three years old, she wrote and amazed (she likes to think so anyway) her grandparents with a fairy tale about mice (of all things!) and that started it all. Since then she became a voracious reader and majored in Classical languages and literature. She hates mosquitoes almost as fiercely as she hates lettuce. She loves Broadway plays (The Phantom is her favorite), chocolate (in all its forms), Epic movies (Gerard Butler in Spartan warrior clothes), Greek mythology, Henry the Gato, and hearing from readers so feel free to contact her. If you would like to keep up with her books, please visit her Facebook page or sign up for her monthly newsletter.

Where are you from?

I was born in a city called San Cristóbal, in Venezuela. So I’m Venezuelan! 🙂

If you had to perform in a talent competition right now, what would your talent be?

Sneezing. I generally sneeze a minimun of 14 times in a row! I know, I know, I am crazy talented. Hard to imagine how I don’t have my own TV show.

What’s your favorite movie quote?:

I have two that I absolutely love!
“I’m a damsel, I’m in distress, I can handle this. Have a nice day.” Hercules (1997) I absolutely LOVE this movie!
And:
“SPARTANS! What is YOUR profession?”

“HA-OOH! HA-OOH! HA-OOH!” 300 (2006)
When quoting that movie, you must sound all tough, like you are ripped and have a beard!
Tell us a fun fact about yourself that would surprise your readers:

Hmmm, tough question. Oh, okay! I got it. When I was 16, I starred in a Venezuelan soap opera. My character was a teenager who could communicate with the dead and she was in love with a ghost!

Okay, back to books, what genres do you write?

I write paranormal, more specifically paranormal romantic comedy. There is something about romance, fantasy and laughter that I just adore.

What is your inspiration?

Greek Mythology mostly. I was a Classics major in school so Homer, Plato, Aristotle, they were my bread and butter. But also pop culture, shows like Supernatural, Game of Thrones, Superhero movies. And life itself! It’s hard to look around and not find inspiration in all that surrounds me.

Tell us about your latest book?

My latest book is called Hellcat, it is the first in a new series called “A Therian World” but each book can be read as a standalone. Hellcat was tons of fun to write. Aileen, the heroine, is this geeky, quiet Cyber Security Expert who gets hired by the Spiros Pride to fix a little internet issue they are having. There she meets Nikolas Spiros, lion Therian (my name for shifters), owner of the greatest mane and, to be honest, the most conceited male in existence. I had never laughed so much as I did writing this book. Nikolas and Lee have a lot of chemistry and are so funny together that I couldn’t help but root for them as they fought against all the things the Fates threw at them… cyclops, soldiers, satyrs, you know, the usual. Plus, you get to meet Aileen’s insane best friends and Nikolas’ ridiculous family. I think if you like shifters, Greek mythology and laughing your butt off, you’ll like this.

Lion Therian Nikolas Spiros, owner of the most extraordinaire mane in existence, is facing a dilemma–should he apply an avocado hair mask or the olive oil one? Being the King of the Jungle is tough work!

When a crazy ex –you should never trust a hyena– hacks into his magazine’s website, a Cyber Security Expert is hired to fix things. But weird, geeky, Lee Ryan is nothing like he expected. Blind to his greatness, she tests him at every turn. And that’s without mentioning his furry side’s obsession with her…

A mysterious breed of Therian, Lee has been hiding her whole life. Part of a prophecy told before the Roman Empire fell, she’s been constantly chased by an ancient cult who wants her blood. But now she’s done. No more running. They want to dance? She’ll tango with them. Of course, that was all before she met the most arrogant, over-confident, accidentally funny male in the world. And the worst part? He may be her mate.

For Nik, protecting Lee from danger is the easy part. Convincing her she’s his? Well, that’s going to take some work.

Good thing he’s irresistible.

Shifters have never been so hot… or so hilarious! Welcome to the Therian world!

He’d always been her nemesis…

Quiet, solemn Amelia Mason never expected or wanted to become the Portal. But with her older brother’s death, she no longer has an option. Branded by Fate, the Portal is the human bridge between this world and the next. Her duty? To help lingering spirits cross to the afterlife. As if that wasn’t bad enough, her new job comes with a Guardian: Kyle Grant, the one man she can’t stand and the one who will stop at nothing to protect her.
… or so she’d always thought.

In order to defeat an evil spirit hunting the flatlands of Venezuela, Kyle and Amelia are going to have to put their dislike aside and work together as Portal and Guardian should. That is, if they can control the sizzling sexual tension between them.

Will they surrender to desire before it’s too late? Or will the madness of a long-dead man tear them apart forever?
Can the heat of passion burn brighter than the fear of loss?
