Spotlight Sunday: Kerri Ann

Kerri Ann can be found quite often with her nose in a book or writing it. On many occasion it has been said that she’s in her own world, living in the stories of those she reads about, giving them a life they deserve.
She can easily be found under a tree in the shade, or reclining at Starbucks scribbling notes about new stories and new characters, while keeping the coffee chain in business.

Whether late at night, at a music festival, or sitting on a ski lift, when the thoughts arise Kerri will add them to those in progress. So be wary, you could be next.

Author Interview

Where are you from?

An hour north of Toronto Canada

If you had to perform in a talent competition right now, what would your talent be?

Sarcasm. My snide remarks get me in trouble a lot. Well, at least when my friends and family are on the receiving end.

What’s your favorite movie quote?

Why is the rum always gone? Pirates of the Caribbean.Jack Sparrow is my spirit guide. I swear we’d be drunk and disorderly if given the chance.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself that would surprise your readers.

I love taking pictures. I’m told I have quite an eye for it, but I just love finding the right picture.

Okay, back to books, what genres do you write?

I consider it suspenseful romance, but it can be dark, twisted, dirty, humorous, historic, fictional more than romantic sometimes, and it tips the scales on erotica too. I don’t really feel like I fit in one box to be honest. I go where the characters tell me.

What is your inspiration?

Showing my kids that you can do what you love. My oldest is an amazing artist and I think he wonders if he can make a living from it. I want to show them what they can accomplish because I’ve influenced them. That’s inspiration to me. Giving others the strength to be better because I’m trying to do better.

Tell us about your latest book?

Whiskey’s Redemption is the story of the outcast son. He loves deeply, cares hard and will do anything for family. He’s strong, sarcastic, damaged, soft, hard and sweet. If you’ve read from the first in the series you find the hard ass, crass assh#*$, but there’s a ton of layers to the Crown’s. The series has darkness, humor, silly insanity with girlfriends that I’d drink with any day, and a ton of heart wrenching sob sections.
