Sunday Spotlight: Chris Genovese

Chris Genovese is a male romance and erotica author who often writes from the female perspective. He has a passion for writing sensual tales that take the average woman (or man) and place them in erotic positions. Life isn’t prude so why should we be? If you’re under the age of 18, or if you get offended easily, please don’t purchase these books. If you’re ready to be entertained, aroused, and brought to emotional climax then please do.Carver Pike is my darker, more twisted alter ego . Where Chris tends to write erotic comedies, poetry, and other fun but sexy tales, Carver likes to stick a knife in it and wiggle it around. If you’re looking for horror and dark fantasy with an erotic twist, you’ve come to the right man. Who new scary could be so sexy?

 An interview with Chris Genovese

#1 Where are you from?

I’m from Tulsa, Oklahoma, but I’ve lived all over the place. I grew up, for the most part, in South Florida, the Fort Lauderdale area. I’m currently living in my wife’s country down in Central America.

#2 If you had to perform in a talent competition right now, what would your talent be?

Ha! Maybe…umm…shit I don’t know. It would have to be something with writing. Maybe a live write competition. I’m pretty good at writing on the fly, especially with poetry. I think I have a fairly decent singing voice too but I’m a chicken shit. I get stage fright. Believe it or not, I don’t even like to speak in front of large groups of people. And I was a teacher!

#3 What’s your favorite movie quote?

I can’t think of a movie quote but I’m a big Game of Thrones fan. I’ve read all the books and have watched every episode of the show. I love Tyrion Lannister. I recently bought a book on the Wit and Wisdom of Tyrion Lannister. Two of my favorite Tyrion quotes are:

“Never forget what you are, the rest of the world will not. Wear it like armor and it can never be used to hurt you.”

“A mind needs books like a sword needs a whetstone.”

#4 Tell us a fun fact about yourself that would surprise your readers.

I don’t think there’s anything left that would surprise myreaders. I’m kind of an open book. I say waaaay too much as it is already. I’ve probably said this before, but I was the lead in a 7th grade play. I played a druggy teenager who gets shot and killed by the police at the end. We even performed downtown in Fort Lauderdale at a pretty big festival. Oh and I once played Happy the Snowman, the lead in a Christmas play. That must have been like the 5thgrade. I had to sing and everything. I think that’s where my stage fright began. I had a huge crush on this really pretty blonde girl named Becky. I was in the middle of singing a song when I saw her in the audience and for some reason I got really nervous and started giggling. I couldn’t stop laughing. My hat fell off and because of the big ass suit I was wearing, I couldn’t bend over to pick it up. It didn’t take long for the whole audience to start laughing with me/at me. I ran off stage and didn’t get on stage again for a couple of years.

#5 Who’s your favorite cover model?

I don’t know many female cover models but I guess I’d have to say Jess Epps. I’ve spoken to her a couple of times on Facebook. Not only is she ridiculously gorgeous, but she’s also very sweet. So I’m going to go with her. Jess Epps is my favorite cover model.

#6 What genres do you write?

I write the erotic versions of most genres. I like to say that I take the genres you love and I set them on fire. I’ve published everything from romance to poetry to comedy to even sci-fi/dystopian. Under my other pen name, Carver Pike, I write erotic horror, dark fantasy, and thriller. So a little bit of everything really.

#7 What is your inspiration?

Definitely the fans. If I didn’t know someone was reading my work, I’d fall into a deep dark pit of depression. I love to entertain, and knowing that someone out there wants to read what I’ve written is one of the best feelings in the world. When it comes to the horror and dark fantasy side, under my Carver Pike pen name, I’m inspired by…well…I guess you could say I’m inspired by the lack of what’s available out there when it comes to books I’d want to read. I love graphic stories with wild characters. I want you to fall in love with my characters, even the bad guys, and I love taking people on a nonstop thrill ride. Like my Edge of Reflection series for example. It’s about a world on the other side of the mirror, where each of us has a dark doppelganger of sorts. That mirror world is full of maniacs and monsters. It’s a crazy story but it’s definitely entertaining. That’s the kind of book I like to read.

#8 Tell us about your latest book.

I just completed We All Fall Down: Quills and Daggers Part Two. That’s actually the tenth and final book in the first season of The Collective, a series I’ve been working on with some other amazing authors. Riley Edwards, Erin Trejo, Ellie Masters, Elias Raven, and I have each written two stories in this series. My two books are companion books so you definitely have to read part one before reading part two. All of our stories intertwine in some way. Here’s the blurb for my newest book. It’s written by Carver Pike so you know it’s going to be twisted. The first Quills and Daggers book was written under my main pen name, Chris Genovese, and isn’t as dark as the sequel. Here’s that blurb:

A Collective Novel

Quills and Daggers 2: We All Fall down – A Thriller – Episode 10

Ring around the rosy. Pocket full of posies. Ashes…ashes…WE ALL FALL DOWN.

I was giving the city something it so desperately needed. Something it hadn’t had in a long time. Something that wouldn’t allow people to prance around in the late night hours, doing whatever they wanted to, without any worry about the darkness all around them. I became a serial killer. A monster for the city to blame all its problems on. I could have simply carried a pistol and put a paper bag over my head and found couples making out in cars. Or I could have brought young boys to my home and drugged them and performed sexual acts on them before eating them. I could have dressed like a clown and buried young men beneath my house. Yet, I was no Zodiac, Dahmer, or Gacy.

I became Simple Simon who met the pie man. You know how the nursery rhyme goes. It made sense. I hated pumpkin pie yet it was the one thing that my foster family and I had in common. So I used it. As silly as it might seem, I decided to create my own sick treats out of the bodies of my victims.

Kevin is a stuttering tattoo artist struggling to make sense of a cruel world and the loneliness enveloping him. Simple Simon is a cold blooded killer stalking the streets of San Francisco. In the final book of Season 1 of The Collective, step inside two personalities, two fractured minds, and discover the demons lurking in the darkness.

This is the sequel to Quills and Daggers by my alter ego, erotic romance author Chris Genovese. It’s also book 10 in The Collective, a series of standalone novellas where the characters from the different books intertwine and are all part of the big city terrorized by Simple Simon and his trail of dead bodies. You’ll get much more out of this book if you read the entire 10-book series, but Quills and Daggers 1 and Quills and Daggers 2: We All Fall Down are companion books. You must read the first one in order to truly understand the second.

The Trouble with Three Husbands: Daughters of Venus Book 1

Steamy Sampler:

He gripped my ass, tight, nails and all, and forced me back on top of him. His grip spread my p***y inside my panties and it hurt just a little. For a second I thought he might take me right there in the car and I silently begged him to.

“You don’t understand,” he said.
“I don’t.”

“I want you so bad right now. I want to get out, bend you over the hood, and take you right here on the highway.”

“Yes,” I agreed.

That would be one hell of a plan, I thought.

He bit his bottom lip and rapped his knuckles against the window. He seemed a bit frustrated but then he looked me in the eyes and that blue metallic sheen on them seemed to sparkle.
“We could do that,” he said “but then it would be over too quickly. You deserve more than this, not just what any other guy would do. I’m going to show you something different tonight. Let’s do this right.”

“Are you inviting me back to your place?” I asked, hoping, wishing that would be the case.

“Not quite. Want to hear one of my favorite questions from the game?”

Okay, this might be interesting.

I kissed him again, this time letting my tongue seep out just a bit. He did the same but he refused to just let it go. He held back.

Damn him for holding back.

“Ask me,” I said.

“Have you ever had sex in a public place?”

Oh man, yeah, this was going to get interesting.

“Not really. In a sauna once but no one else was in there.”

He smiled and cocked an eyebrow. “A sauna? Nice.”

“Look, I don’t really want to go to a public place. Just take me somewhere private.”

I want to f**k you, you idiot, I thought.

But simple sex wasn’t the only thing he had in mind. He wanted this night to last and he had quickly formed an idea in his head. He’d planned a night that would drive me wild.

“No, private won’t do,” he said.

“So where are you taking me?”

“Where we were going in the first place, to the carnival.”

“I really don’t want to go to the fair,” I said.

He reached up under my skirt, palmed my p***y, and said, “Trust me. You do.”

And suddenly I did.

Margaritas by Moonlight: Maybe Mandy 2

Mandy’s on vacation, from the job and from memories of Braden, but on foreign land a little WORK may be required. Sex on foreign soil isn’t just a game…it’s a conquest.

This novella is intended for an 18+ audience. It has graphic sexual content. Buyer beware.

Steamy Sampler:

It suddenly felt very hot in the club. The air was humid. My hair clung to my shoulders but it turned me on even more. Feeling his sweaty arm against mine made me imagine our bare bodies pumping away in the heat. I imagined his chest glistening as he spread my legs.

I leaned back against him and touched my forehead to his neck. My lips were just below his chin. I wanted him to lean forward and kiss me. He didn’t.

That bothered me.

I f***ing want you dammit. Kiss me, I thought.

I tried to look up into his face but it was too dark. I looked around us and everyone else was too shrouded in the shadows to see clearly. I found the faceless silhouettes surrounding us to be erotic. I was getting turned on by the tension in the air and the urge to f**k Valentino was becoming too much to handle.

No one could see us. No one knew the hunger growing inside me.

No one saw his right hand move around and go up under my shirt. I felt his fingers trace over my belly button and traipse up my stomach to my bra.

“I want you,” he whispered in my ear.

I want you too, right here on the dance floor. Take me back to my room, I thought.

I thought it but I didn’t say it. I couldn’t for some reason. I just froze. And has his hand made its way up to my right breast and over it, I could barely move at all. He moved his fingers over my skin, right between my breasts, and then cupped his big hand over my breast and squeezed gently.

I moaned but the loud music masked it.

His left hand moved on, making its way up my dress. I looked around to see if anyone else was watching, but it was dark, it was late, everyone in the place was smashed, and Jill had her tongue down Marco’s throat.

I put my own hand over Valentino’s and he seemed to take it as a sign that I wanted him to stop. He started to pull his hand away. I grabbed it and shoved it hard against my p***y, showing him exactly where I NEEDED his hand to be.

Checking Him Out: A Single Mother’s Workplace Romance

A single mother can be hectic and lonely. Rarely is it considered sexy. For single mom, Gina, pulling doubles at a supermarket cash register is no fun at all. But good times can come in mysterious packages, especially when Mr. Connor has a package like that.

This novella is intended for an 18+ audience. It has graphic sexual content. Buyer beware.

Short Steamy Sampler:

I took a deep breath, and like the idiot I sometimes am, just blurted out, “I’m not the kind of girl you probably think I am. I’m a single mom. My son is at home with his grandmother. I work a lot. I’m sorry…I just…”

I sighed.

I just what? I just don’t deserve an incredible man like you? I thought

“Calm down, Gina,” he said as he reached up and touched my cheek.

I looked past him and saw Abraham watching us. How embarrassing.

“I’m just asking for your phone number. That’s all. I can use that phone number to maybe call you sometime. That’s all. Just a call.”

He was so sweet. And he was trying so hard. Why? I didn’t feel like playing games. I wanted to know what he was up to. He must’ve been able to hook up with any girl he wanted. So why the hell was he flirting with me, a divorced cashier at Savory Save?

I leaned forward and grabbed his hand. “Mr. Cooper…”

“Kevin,” he reminded me.

“Mr. Cooper, I’m fine with honesty. What are you expecting out of this? Are you looking for a relationship or are you looking to f**k me?”

He stepped back, both eyebrows raised, surprised to hear the word shoot out of my mouth.

That’s all he said. Wow. Not good.

“Where I’m at in my life, I have to be blunt,” I said.

He crossed his arms in front of his chest, his muscular forearms flexing and looking sublime. He bit his top lip and nodded.

“I see. Okay, fair enough. If we’re speaking honestly, then yes, I’d like to f**k you, Gina. I’d like to f**k you again and again. In many places and in many positions. And maybe even have a relationship with you if it turns out that’s what we both want. Now, if that is something you’re okay with, then give me your phone number please. If not, I’ll walk out of here and never ever bother you again.

Thanks for checking out my book. I hope you like it. And if you do, please leave a review. Reviews mean so much to me!

Welcome to Erotic Mayberry

Adult actress Stormy Winters wanted to end it all. She just wanted to quit life altogether, but when she fails at her suicide attempt, Dr. Bastian is there to take her under his wing and convince her she deserves a better life far removed from the hectic hustle and bustle of “the real world.” Soon there’s a spark between them and he invites her to come live with him in a private, exclusive gated community known as E. Mayberry. Only after reading the home owners’ rules and regulations book and accompanying Bastian to a late night party does she realize what she’s gotten herself into.

Here’s an excerpt from her first meeting with Vivi, the Community Relations Manager:

“Dr. Bastian is a great man. He will make one hell of an owner. You just have to be willing to accept your role here,” Vivi said.

“What is my role…exactly?” I asked.

“Just be there for him. That doesn’t mean slave after him or take beatings or any of the wicked stuff you might imagine. It simply means that you’re there for him and won’t leave him. You’re…kind of…like a wife…only we don’t really believe in marriage. We believe in owners and pets and swinging as a way of life.”

“Swinging? Like we’ll have different partners?”

“Yes, dear. That’s what E. Mayberry is all about. It’s total immersion in pleasure. Pleasure of the mind, pleasure of the body, pleasure of the soul…it’s like having a spiritual awakening where all you need to do is be happy and make others happy. What could be wrong about that?”

Chris Genovese wrote the book but his fans put together the Erotic Mayberry HOA Rules and Regulations. You’ve been cordially invited to find out more about Erotic Mayberry. How involved are you willing to get?
